Application security needs an ongoing process covering access, data handling, maintenance and recovery. A hosting label or database product cannot guarantee safety by itself.
Review who can do what
Use appropriate account permissions and application authorisation, not file permissions alone. Keep software maintained and secrets out of public files. Review important changes with someone qualified for the application’s risk and technology.
Plan dependable recovery
Maintain protected backups and test restoration under an approved plan. Record who responds to suspicious changes and service incidents. A backup does not prevent a breach, and a cloud deployment does not automatically remove the application’s security responsibilities.
Use a recognised review framework
OWASP guidance can help organise the questions, but a checklist is not a security certificate. Test safely in an authorised environment and prioritise confirmed findings. Security work supports users and continuity without guaranteeing rankings.
