Content revised 21 October 2026.
An ecommerce SEO supplier should understand catalogue structure, product information and the buying journey. Compare the actual diagnosis and implementation scope before hiring.
Review catalogue needs
Check navigation, variants, filters, availability and removed products. A store with many similar URLs needs different work from a small service site. Important products should be discoverable through useful categories and links.
Clarify responsibility
Agree who supplies product facts, approves content and implements changes. Personalisation is not automatically included in SEO and may have additional technical and privacy implications. Keep it separate in the scope.
Measure with context
Review suitable discovery, product activity and confirmed outcomes. Ask how link work and promotional relationships are selected. An agency label or higher fee does not guarantee compliant methods, customers or rankings.
