Buying Google search ads doesn't buy better organic rankings. PPC and SEO can support the same business, but their results need to be understood separately.
Why the two can look connected
A business may launch ads, improve its landing pages and rewrite its service content during the same month. More enquiries afterward don't show which change caused them. A shared campaign timeline is not proof that advertising spend raised an organic position.
Useful work can benefit both journeys
A clearer offer, a functioning form and a better mobile page can help visitors arriving through several channels. Research from one campaign may suggest questions worth investigating elsewhere. Those are practical connections, not a special payment route into organic search results.
Keep the reporting separate
- Identify paid and organic traffic correctly.
- Track relevant enquiries rather than counting every visit as a sale.
- Record website changes and campaigns during the comparison period.
- Review attribution limits when several visits contribute to a purchase.
Choose the work for its own job
Paid search may help test an offer or reach a relevant advertising audience. SEO may improve the information and technical foundations of the website. Both require a suitable scope and budget. If a proposal says ad spend will guarantee organic first-page placement, ask for a correction before proceeding.
