Content revised 21 October 2026.
A clear graphic-design brief explains the message, audience and places the asset will appear. Define the required outputs before comparing styles or fees.
Describe the use
A logo, social advertisement and website illustration have different technical and creative requirements. List the channels, sizes, background needs and content. Include existing brand assets and any approved reference used only for direction.
Make the message accurate
Approve business claims, contact details and the main action before design. Use permitted images and distinguish decorative visuals from evidence. An AI illustration should not be presented as a real customer or completed project.
Agree the handover
Specify editable files, export formats, colour versions and rights. Clarify revision rounds and the person responsible for approvals. A small preview cannot prove that an asset will remain readable in every placement.
Review in context
Check the design at the size people will actually see. Inspect mobile text, contrast and cropping. Attractive creative can support communication, but it cannot guarantee CTR, enquiries or search rankings.
