Content revised 21 October 2026.
AMP is a web framework with its own requirements. An AMP label alone does not establish a faster page, better search position or successful customer journey.
Check the implementation
Identify the AMP URL and its corresponding page, then use current validation and Search Console information where available. Old screenshots, fixed speed comparisons and badge claims are not dependable current instructions.
Compare equivalent content
Important information and supported actions should remain available across versions. Check media, navigation, forms and canonical relationships. A technically valid page can still omit a condition the visitor needs.
Evaluate the purpose
Choose AMP only when it fits the website and can be maintained. Review actual performance rather than assuming a framework name guarantees it. Useful ordinary mobile pages can also support a good experience.
