Content revised 21 October 2026.
Start a website with a clear audience and a small set of useful journeys. Choose the technology after the content, responsibilities and essential functions are understood.
Define the foundation
List what visitors need to know and do. Prepare accurate business facts, approved media and a page map. Identify who controls the domain, hosting and third-party accounts.
Build with real content
Create responsive layouts and navigation around actual explanations. Test forms, video and relevant integrations safely. Assign metadata and schema ownership so several components do not publish conflicting output.
Prepare launch and maintenance
Review public URLs, access controls, backups and the handover. Agree who approves updates and responds to incidents. A completed design is a stage in the project rather than proof that the whole website works.
