How Do I Create a Sub Domain?
What is Sub Domain?
A subdomain is basically a new website that holds its own unique content but uses the domain name of your existing website. It can act as an extension of your first website that can guide your users regarding a certain topic. When you own a domain name that works perfectly, you do not need to register a new domain name. Instead, you can go for the existing domain name and create a subdomain in order to fulfill your objectives. The subdomains are actually used for the purpose of segmentation or verification of different services that are associated with your original domain name.
How Subdomains Help You
Subdomains offer you a great variety of advantages. Let’s discuss the most important ones:
A subdomain associated with an already well-ranked website gets indexed quickly and benefits from the success of an original website.
There is no additional cost that you have to pay while adding a subdomain. If your hosting plan allows, you can add several subdomains at free of cost.
If you want to install heavy plugins or resources on your website, you can use a subdomain for this purpose as it will not slow down your original website.
